Description

Restored from a 19th-century plate, this vintage scientific illustration gathers owls—the Eurasian Eagle-Owl (Bubo bubo), Long-eared Owl (Asio otus), Tawny Owl (Strix aluco), Barn Owl (Tyto alba), and Little Owl (Athene noctua)—perched on rocky outcrops and mossy branches above a wooded ravine, with the barn owl in flight. The restoration preserves period character while reviving fine linework and color, making it a striking natural history art print for study or display.
